The radial displacements of points of the dam are important behaviour indicator and they are nonlinear function of hydrostatic pressure, temperature and other unexpected unknown causes. The artificial intelligence techniques are capable to model such complex system. The objective of this study is to develop feedfoward neural network (FNN) and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to predict the radial displacement of arch dam. The FNN and ANFIS models were developed and tested using experimental data which are collected during eleven years. Comparing the predicted values by FNN and ANFIS with the experimental data indicates that soft computing models provide accurate results. These models can be applied for the displacement predicting in the following periods.
